Business Development representative

Full Time / Contract

We’re looking for business development representatives to join our team! If you’re looking for the opportunity to grow your sales career, come grow with us as we empower schools to prepare the next generation’s workforce.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Be a Codelicious expert -- you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of our curriculum, our customers, and our market
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create and test new sales cadences and strategies
  • Focus on outbound sales to school districts, primarily on the phone and via email
  • Perform market research to gather new leads and learn more about existing prospects
  • Connect with a high number of educators and administrators to discover their needs and conduct product demos
  • Document all activity in Hubspot CRM
  • Jump-in head first, work hard, fail fast (we’re all learning here!), and have some fun doing it

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Naturally inquisitive, flexible, and unafraid of failure
  • Have 1-2 years of work experience (including outbound calling experience)
  • Motivated by meeting (and exceeding!) goals
  • Possess excellent time-management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Dedicated note-taker with a strong attention to detail
  • Interested in experiencing the high-growth, fast-paced environment of a technology startup

BONUS QUALITIES (NOT REQUIRED, BUT ARE NICE TO HAVE):

  • CRM experience (preferably Hubspot)
  • Experience in the education field (educator, administrator, sales) 
  • Basic coding knowledge
