Codelicious has partnered with Microsoft to offer a series of kids coding classes this summer at The Fashion Mall at Keystone. These classes will be geared to students ages 8 to 12 years old and will offer a sample of the type of classes and content that Codelicious will offer ongoing. Parents may visit to register for classes.

Codelicious has recently named Christine McDonnell as CEO and she shared her perspective, "Codelicious is excited to launch our summer schedule by partnering with Microsoft in offering these courses as we continue to roll out our kid-focused coding curriculum. Microsoft has been an excellent partner and their store offers a safe, fun environment for kids to learn as well as a place for parents to shop for their own home or business technology needs.”

Codelicious will be offering a full schedule of in-person, kid’s coding classes this fall in the Indianapolis area for ages 8 to 18. Intro level classes will cover basic coding, internet safety and robotics. There will also be more advanced classes offered for students who progress through the level one courses. These advanced classes will contain curriculum that includes app development, digital marketing, JavaScript as well as additional topics in both back-end and front-end engineering.

“The focus on kids is what makes us different.,” McDonnell continued. “We not only teach kids about code -- we work to instill confidence in these students. Creating a positive, kid friendly learning environment is vital for students to succeed in learning code and more importantly; learning lifelong problem solving and teamwork skills.”
